Auto Portrait, Oil on Linen 2009

Originally from Louisiana, Michelle de Metz currently works from her studios in Dallas and the Texas Hill Country (the estate studio is a short drive from either Austin or San Antonio).  The artist's diverse body of works, ranging from abstract expressionism to hyperrealism, can be found in private collections in New York, California, Palm Beach, Dallas, New Orleans, Paris, Milan, and Brazil. The artist is a proud member of Oil Painters of America (OPA), Women Artists of the West, The Dallas Center for Contemporary Art, The DMA, Order of the Eastern Star, and numerous other national and local fine arts organizations.  

The Artist's hyperrealism paintings are offered exclusively by private commission, directly through the studios, and no more than three hyperrealism paintings are produced each year.  However, for 2010 an additional photorealism painting is in the works for the International Contemporary Masters exhibit (June) at the South Nevada Museum of Fine Art.
